　　Kaur was born in Pilani, Rajasthan.[1][2] Her father worked with the Indian Army, so she also lived and studied in Bathinda and Patiala, including at Yadavindra Public School, Patiala. In 1994, her father was killed in a terrorist attack in Kashmir. Thereafter, her mother started living in Delhi-suburb, Noida, where she grew up and did her schooling from Delhi Public School, Noida.
