BeforethestartoftheseasonChrisKattanandTracyMorganlefttheshowandDeanEdwardswasfired.DespiteKattanandMorgan'sdeparture,thetwowouldmakeguestappearancesinseveralepisodesthroughouttheseason. Beforetheseasonstarted,WillForte,SethMeyersandJeffRichardswereallpromotedtorepertorystatus,whileFredArmisenremainedafeaturedplayer.
