Chandni(UrmilaMatondkar),alowerclasstalentednightclubsingeranddancer,whohappenstobereligious,andwellmannered,livesanunfortunatelifewithherthreeaunts,whodominateherlife,andwithaweakmaternalgrandmother.Shedancesforalivingbecauseitistheonlywayshecansupportherpoorfamilyandshehopestogiveherniecesaneducation.
