第一系列（2005-6）的最後一部。撇開未看過的第一部不論，#13 無疑是其餘十二部裡拍得最好的。
對於北歐幾位著名的推理作家而言，推理小說絕不只是純娛樂。除了慣有的社會批判，Mankell 的作品 -- 藉由主角 Kurt Wallander 不斷地檢視自己來呈現 -- 又多了個人的內在省察。但是，這並不表示如果談的主題愈偉大，作品的成績就愈好；我覺得 Mankell 有時還是有不夠到位之處。
