全剧主角Jonah是一个典型的high achiever，or social elite-to-be：商学院（肆业），足迹跨越各大洲的志愿活动，永远能将柠檬变成柠檬汁的motivation，他本应该走的路，看看有一集他西装革履、斗志昂扬的那位老同学就知道了。而这样一个高成就者，何以在超市里做一个拿最低工资的售货员？与他那些形形色色让人啼笑皆非的同事相比，Jonah是让观众自我代入以感受周遭境遇的那个“正常人”，或者说“理智者”的角色。
