一次偶然的机会,在香港明珠台看到了电影的后半段。回到英国后便立刻寻找DVD，终于可以一窥全幕。老伴的过世，死党的被杀，对手的步步紧逼，儿子的新式菜和逼宫，爱徒的嗜赌，林林种种，老板已是心力交瘁，早已想引退江湖。为了最后的心愿，为死党而复仇，将所有的琐事都在一夜里给解决。
在狭小的空间里，导演的功力可见一斑：情节铺排、剪接、配乐、小餐厅里错综复杂的人物关系，均将一部充满仇恨的电影，以最安静的形态，说了一个最紧张的故事。
