《野猪林》是一部剧情、动作和戏曲元素结合的电影。故事发生在东京汴梁，主人公林冲是一名八十万禁军教头。他陪妻子张氏去东岳庙烧香还愿时，遭遇到奸臣高俅之子高衙内的调戏。林冲斥责高衙内的无德行为后，高衙内因为害怕林冲的威名而离开。林冲遇到了从五台山回来的鲁智深，两人成为了兄弟。然而，高衙内对张氏的美貌念念不忘，请求父亲高俅帮他实现心愿。林冲的朋友陆谦为了讨好高俅父子，陷害林冲，使他误入白虎节堂持刀。高俅趁机拘押了林冲，并将他流放到沧州。这部电影改编自《水浒传》中的逼上梁山章节，剧情扣人心弦，动作戏精彩纷呈，同时融入了戏曲元素，为观众呈现了一场视听盛宴。
